MICROBA gallery in Bari presents Próthesis, a solo show by Taranto-born artist Dafne Frasca. The exhibition combines painting with a dedicated sound design to create an immersive sensory experience.
The exhibition features a new body of paintings where textured brushstrokes and spatula work blur edges and suggest fragmented domestic or intimate views. The accompanying acusmatic sound project extends the visual field, inviting an active, multi-sensory mode of reception.
Dafne Frasca (Taranto, 1996) is a doctoral candidate at the Academy of Fine Arts in Lecce. Her practice spans painting and sound performance; she has been awarded prizes such as the "Green Talent" and the Public Jury Prize at the 3rd edition of the Don Sante Prize for Contemporary Art. Próthesis inaugurates a new collaboration between MICROBA and the Mons. Sante Montanaro Foundation.
Practical note: opening times and access may change for special events; visitors are advised to contact the venue in advance to confirm details.
