Presentation of the Locride Events Calendar (June–October)

The official presentation of the Locride events calendar took place at the Palazzo della Cultura in Locri. The initiative, promoted by the Tourist Service Center in cooperation with the Pro Loco Consortium and the Permanent Table for Tourism and Culture, gathered local authorities, associations and cultural operators.

The meeting highlighted the calendar's value as a promotional tool: a coordinated schedule can increase visibility, attract visitors and reduce date conflicts between similar events.

Organization and attendees

Representatives from Pro Loco associations, municipal tourism delegates, cultural operators, the administrator of Porto delle Grazie (Roccella) and local artists took part. All attendees received a printed copy of the calendar to provide feedback and propose additions.

Operational guidelines

• Continuous updates: the calendar will be published online and updated as new events are reported.
• Territorial coordination: organizers are asked to report dates promptly to avoid overlaps and support joint promotion.
• Rotating meetings: the Permanent Table will hold meetings in various municipalities to monitor progress and boost participation; the next meeting is set for June 30 (possible venue: Porto delle Grazie, Roccella Ionica).

The young organizers emphasized their focus on concrete projects, cooperative networks and promotion strategies aimed at fostering local development and employment, while avoiding past mistakes.
