Arancia Rossa di Sicilia IGP Prize in Città della Pieve: opening of the "ORANGE" exhibition

The inaugural edition of the Arancia Rossa di Sicilia IGP – Città della Pieve Prize starts on Friday, March 20 with the vernissage of "ORANGE", a group show curated by Elena Conti and Barbara Mastella. The project highlights the connection between a local agricultural excellence, artistic practice and food culture, engaging shops and restaurants across the town.

The exhibition gathers painting, sculpture and photography works where the color orange plays a leading role. Artists from different Italian regions present a varied, contemporary selection across the historic rooms of the palazzo for ten days.

Main program

• March 20, 18:00 – Vernissage of "ORANGE" at Palazzo della Corgna. Institutional speeches and curators' remarks followed by a cocktail offered by the local Saffron Consortium, featuring pairings with Arancia Rossa di Sicilia IGP.
• March 21, 15:45 – Opening concert "Corde, Voce e Danza: Homage to Sicily" at Teatro degli Avvaloranti, with Roberta Comin and the ArciNote ensemble.
• March 21, 17:45 – Award ceremony in the Sala Grande of Palazzo della Corgna. The Arancia Rossa di Sicilia IGP Prize will be presented to journalist Gioacchino Bonsignore.
• A talk follows on "Geographical Indications as a driver for local tourism" with sector experts and institutional representatives.
• March 21, 21:00 – Themed dinner "Arancia Rossa di Sicilia IGP on the table" (reservations required at the hosting restaurant).

The exhibition is open from March 20 to 29, 10:00–19:00. Some events (concert, award ceremony, talk and dinner) may require reservations or have limited seating: contact the Municipality of Città della Pieve, Palazzo della Corgna or the participating venues for bookings and details.

Throughout the event, local bars and restaurants will display themed shop windows and offer dishes and cocktails featuring Arancia Rossa di Sicilia IGP.
