Pordenone at the Turin Book Fair: a step toward Capital of Culture 2027

Pordenone's delegation, led by Mayor Alessandro Basso with councillors Alberto Parigi and Lidia Diomede, took part in the Turin International Book Fair to present the city's bid for the title of Italian Capital of Culture 2027.

Within the Friuli-Venezia Giulia regional stand, Pordenone showcased territorial strengths and cultural projects supporting the candidacy, with particular emphasis on Pordenonelegge and the Palazzo del Fumetto. The delegation also met with regional vice-president Mario Anzil to discuss cultural development strategies and joint initiatives.

The municipal administration argues that participation in a major national event is an opportunity to strengthen the city's cultural narrative, build ties with the publishing world and consolidate Pordenone's role on the national cultural scene.
