Playtime in Carpi: two days of family-friendly activities

On Saturday, 9 May and Sunday, 10 May the historic centre of Carpi becomes a large play workshop: Piazza Martiri and the Palazzo dei Pio host the second edition of Playtime, an event designed for children, teens and parents with activities suitable for all ages.

Program and themed areas

• Board games: continuous stations in the Cortile d'onore and the halls of Palazzo dei Pio, with card exchanges and casual tournaments.
• Role-playing games: sessions such as Dungeons & Dragons in the Sala dei Cervi, ideal to boost creativity and teamwork.
• Video games and virtual reality: a dedicated area in the Sala Ex Poste featuring 2026 innovations for safe digital play.
• Immersive experiences and photo sets: installations in the Cortiletto nord and Cortile di levante for playful, creative moments.
• Children's festival: games and creative activities in Piazza Martiri, with special programming on Sunday afternoon.
• Conference: on Friday 8 May at 18:00 the Auditorium Loria will host a talk on the role of play in modern society.

Times and venues

Saturday, 9 May: 10:00–23:00. Sunday, 10 May: 10:00–19:00. Activities take place across public squares and indoor venues including the Loria Library and Palazzo dei Pio.
