From 3 April to 6 July 2026 the National Archaeological Museum of Naples presents “Parthenope: The Siren and the City”, an exhibition that connects myth, archaeological finds and contemporary practices to explore how the image of the siren has changed over time.
The route displays more than 250 works from major Italian and international collections and is organized into thematic sections that provide a chronological and symbolic reading of Partenope’s figure.
The exhibition is ideal for those who want to understand Naples’ mythological roots and follow the artistic destiny of the siren Partenope, from ancient Greek tales to modern popular culture. Immersive technologies and rare exhibits make the visit engaging for archaeology lovers and visitors interested in the intersection of history and contemporary art.
Tip: book in advance for weekends and allow at least two hours to fully experience the thematic sections and multimedia installations.
