Palazzo dei Musei: 2026–2027 exhibition programme
The Palazzo dei Musei in Modena announces two major exhibitions in the museum's new wing, organized in partnership with Silvana Editoriale and featuring international curators.
- Robert Doisneau – photographic retrospective: from 24 September 2026 to 24 January 2027. About 150 works from the Atelier Robert Doisneau collection in Montrouge, curated by Gabriel Bauret.
- Hokusai and His Time – painting and prints (Edo period): scheduled from February to June 2027, curated by Francesco Paolo Campione, Marco Fagioli and Moira Luraschi, in collaboration with the Museo delle Culture di Lugano.
The municipality renewed its partnership with Silvana Editoriale and allocated a public contribution of €130,000 across the two exhibitions. The previous De Chirico retrospective attracted more than 33,000 visitors over four months, underscoring the museum's appeal for high-quality exhibitions.
Educational programmes and collateral events are under development; the Hokusai exhibition will include links with the Philharmonic of the Teatro Comunale, led by conductor Hirodumi Yoshida.
