ORMA 2026: Artist Traces across Langhe, Monferrato and Roero (May–November 2026)

From May to November 2026 the hills, historic centres and squares of Langhe, Monferrato and Roero host ORMA. Traces of the artist, a wide-ranging contemporary art program connecting more than 60 municipalities. The initiative promotes sustained exchanges between artistic practice, local communities and the cultural landscape.

• 2026 additions: Canelli (hosting a work by Maria Theresa Alves from June), Neviglie and Roddino (engaged in the Prospettive project)

ORMA functions as a coordination of independent initiatives rather than a single festival: each project stays rooted in its locality while contributing to a shared narrative of contemporary art. The aim is to enhance villages and landscapes, trigger regeneration of public and private assets and create enduring cultural benefits for local communities.

Residencies and participatory practices help link artists with residents, promoting training, civic involvement and new incentives for cultural tourism.

• Plan travel logistics: many works are spread across small villages and hilly areas, so prepare routes and transport accordingly.
• Join public events and guided visits to understand the creative process behind the works and residencies.

The project is supported by the Piedmont Region and is part of the path towards Alba Contemporary Art Capital 2027, aiming to strengthen a sustainable cultural network rooted in the territory.
