The interregional board representing certified historic villages in Abruzzo and Molise has been renewed. Antonio Di Marco takes the presidency of a team made up of ten members, chosen among mayors and councilors of the participating municipalities.
The board aims to strengthen cooperation among historic centres in both regions and to develop a common path for cultural, touristic and identity-driven enhancement.
The new leadership will focus on practical, coordinated measures. Key intervention areas include:
Visitors to Abruzzo and Molise can expect clearer, more accessible itineraries, improved information services and a year-round calendar of events. For member municipalities, the board provides a channel to pool resources, gain collective visibility and access targeted funding for heritage protection and promotion.
The working approach emphasises integrated promotion as a tool to generate widespread territorial benefits, encouraging partnerships between coastal towns and inland villages.
The association's reorganisation may benefit the province of Teramo as well, where combining seaside offerings with inland historic centres can diversify the tourism appeal. The new board will be called upon to turn local assets into coordinated, recognisable proposals, engaging communities and local economic stakeholders.
Those interested in proposing initiatives or taking part in network activities should keep in touch with municipal offices of the certified villages and follow institutional communication channels for updates.
