The municipal superintendent has scheduled a varied programme across Rome’s civic museums: new exhibitions, lectures, free guided tours, accessibility-focused meetings and evening shows at the Planetarium. Several events are free or for MIC Card holders; many require prior booking.
The week includes meetings and practical workshops on inclusive museum access, focusing on approaches for visitors with autism and guided visits with sign language interpreters in different venues. These are often free but with restricted capacity.
The Planetarium offers a mixed programme for adults and children during the weekend: adult shows cover topics such as the Voyager missions, the aurora borealis, stellar evolution and cosmic ecology; family sessions include interactive planet tours and storytelling with educational characters. Check updated timetables and ticket prices before attending.
Throughout this week Rome’s civic museums present a blend of traditional tours, scholarly talks, immersive multimedia projects and accessibility-focused initiatives, offering varied ways to explore the city's cultural heritage.
