'The Macchiaioli' exhibition extended at Palazzo Reale: open until July 5, 2026

The exhibition dedicated to the Macchiaioli movement, on display at Palazzo Reale in Milan, has been extended and will be accessible until Sunday 5 July 2026. The show, which opened on 3 February 2026, brings together more than 100 works that highlight a central phase of 19th-century Italian painting.

During the first three months after opening the exhibition recorded significant attendance — over 70,000 visitors — confirming broad public interest in the subject and the quality of the loans.
