Montescudaio celebrates local excellence: “Borgo in Mostra” returns May 23–24, 2026

“Borgo in Mostra” brings together the best of Montescudaio’s territory: food and wine, craftsmanship and community events. Organized by the Municipality of Montescudaio with Pro Loco, the DOC Wine Consortium and local associations, the festival animates the historic center for two days.

Program at a glance

• Saturday, May 23
  • 3:00 PM – Panoramic walk “Where the products of the territory are born” led by Odiapidei.
  • 6:00 PM – Conference at the “Emo Sarti” room, Town Hall: “Wine and Food Tourism: a driver for the development of Italian villages,” speaker Dr. Tommaso Pardi.
  • Evening – Local product tastings in Piazza del Comune.
  • 9:00 PM – Traditional dance and entertainment by the Quadriglia della Val di Cecina at the Castle square.
• Sunday, May 24
  • From 12:00 PM – The main street transforms into an open-air restaurant with artisan markets, street food and guided tastings.
  • Live music featuring Folko, a performance by the Dreamland Voices choir and a DJ set by Simone.
  • 4:30 PM – Children’s cooking workshop with Chef Simone Acquarelli.
  • 5:30 PM – Cooking Contest with awards for the best traditional Tuscan dishes.
