Millesimo Plastic Free: a community drive for Earth Day

On Saturday April 18 the village of Millesimo will host a multi‑activity environmental event aimed at reducing plastic pollution and promoting the care of its historic centre. The initiative combines sustainability, sport and cultural discovery to involve residents and visitors.

Meeting point: 2:30 PM at Piazza della Libertà, in front of the schools (the trekking group departs earlier).

Planned routes

• Classic Clean Up: a gentle walk through the historic streets, suitable for families and those who want to explore and clean the town's corners.
• Plogging (Run & Clean): for runners who want to combine training with litter collection along the scenic path to the Sanctuary of Nostra Signora del Deserto.
• Bike Clean Up: a cycling route starting from the sports field toward the Cengio cycle path, aimed at cyclists and responsible cycle tourism.
• Eco‑Cultural Trek: a walking route connecting Millesimo Castle with Cosseria Castle, focusing on local history and landscape protection (earlier departure at 2:00 PM).

The format is inclusive and flexible: participants choose the activity that best fits their interests. Emphasis is placed on collective effort and local stewardship—essential elements for safeguarding small towns.

Registration and practical tips

Registration is required through the Plastic Free association portal to streamline logistics and materials. There is also an option to register to receive a personalized bib.

What to bring: gloves, comfortable shoes, weather‑appropriate clothing and a reusable water bottle. Organizers will provide bags and collection tools.
