Dates: 18 April 2026 (opening at 16:00) – 7 June 2026 (closing at 20:00).
Venue: Palazzo Pigorini, Parma, Italy.
The exhibition presents 70 of the 100 photographs included in the book The River Po. Created between 2007 and 2019, the series follows Italy’s largest river from its alpine source to the Adriatic delta, crossing the landscapes of the Po Valley. Kenna’s work relies on a slow, contemplative practice: careful attention to light, atmospheric conditions and varying exposure times produces minimalist, suspended landscapes in black and white.
This exhibition provides a meditative encounter with Italian landscape through Michael Kenna’s poetic gaze. The black-and-white medium narrows sensory detail and invites imagination, presenting the river and territory as subjects of silence, balance and reflection—essential viewing for photography and landscape enthusiasts.
The show is presented as part of the Parma360Festival with support from local cultural bodies and partners. For special events, guided visits and up-to-date access information please consult the festival’s official channels before planning your visit.
