Interregional Hosts Meetup in Tortorella

The village of Tortorella will host an interregional meetup for village hosts on April 17, 2026, from 9:00 to 16:00. The event brings together hosts, community leaders and sector experts to discuss the role of community-led hospitality in reviving small historic centers and inland areas.

Main aims of the meetup:

• Highlight diffuse hospitality as a driver for local development;
• Share practical tools and best practices for managing non-hotel accommodations;
• Build networks between hosts and local stakeholders to promote sustainable tourism.

The day will feature presentations, roundtables and hands-on sessions focused on storytelling, destination promotion and guest management.

Storytelling contest: the meetup includes the "Telling the Value of Hospitality in Villages" contest for hosts from Southern Italy, with three categories:

• Host Guide – hospitality experiences rooted in local identity;
• Pioneer Host – innovative initiatives for village revitalization;
• Beyond Checkout – hospitality practices that foster lasting guest relationships.

Submission deadline: March 30, 2026. Participation details and how to submit stories are available on the event’s official page. Attendance is open to everyone with prior registration and subject to seat availability.

Partners: the initiative is organized with the support of local associations and regional host communities, in collaboration with the Municipality of Tortorella and local organizations. The meetup coincides with the Intramoenia Medieval Festival (April 17–19), allowing participants to experience the area’s cultural events.
