M.E.D.I.A.: digital arts and intercultural practice in Lecce

ITI – Italia and the AVR Lab (Augmented and Virtual Reality Laboratory) of the University of Salento present M.E.D.I.A. (Mediterranean Ecosystems of Digital and Intercultural Arts), a project showcasing artistic, digital and intercultural practices developed during Creative Europe-funded residencies.

The programme brings together a photographic exhibition, installations and performances that connect performing arts with immersive technologies, emphasising sustainability, co-creation and the development of local cultural networks.

• 23 April – 19:00: opening of the photographic exhibition “M.E.D.I.A – Visions from the Mediterranean” at the Distillery of San Cesario di Lecce.
• 23 April – 20:30: premiere of the installation-performance “Love in Times of War” featuring Fabio Tolledi, Roberto Gagliardi and Mauro Tre; digital content and live video projections curated by AVR Lab.
• 24 April – Exhibition open from 16:00 to 19:00.
• 28-30 April – The exhibition will be on show at the Ex Convitto Palmieri in Lecce.

The exhibition presents photographic and digital material produced during international residencies and includes QR codes for supplementary digital content. M.E.D.I.A. is part of the Regione Puglia cultural schedule and seeks to deliver tangible benefits to the territory through site-specific artistic interventions and stable local collaborations.
