Marinella Senatore launches a project aimed at children aged 0 to 6 and their families titled We Rise by Lifting Others. The programme includes participatory workshops, laboratory sessions and a final public exhibition at the Art Studio of The Human Safety Net, located in the historic Procuratie on Piazza San Marco, timed with the 61st Venice Biennale.
Participation is central to the project: phrases, ideas and images gathered during community workshops will form the core of the exhibition. Senatore's practice prioritizes collective processes that turn individual contributions into a shared artwork, with a strong focus on social inclusion and the creative potential of families.
The initiative unfolds through a series of workshops and labs across Europe and Italy. After an international opening, the project includes Italian phases engaging local family services and community partners.
The project is an opportunity to experience contemporary art through inclusive, hands-on activities. Families and professionals can engage with creative practices that encourage play, relationships and children's agency. The final exhibition will also interact with the site's permanent installation on individual potential, offering an accessible and interactive path for visitors of all ages.
