Curated by Gian Paolo Bonesini, "The Shadow of Doubt" brings together works by Laura Alberti, Rita Brucalassi, Francesca Burrascano and Maria Silvia Generali. The show frames landscape not as a fixed subject but as a mobile presence that resists singular interpretation.

What to expect

• Laura Alberti — watercolors hovering between earth and sky, with delicate, near-evanescent color fields.
• Rita Brucalassi — scenes that remain tied to reality yet yield a subtle fantastical tension.
• Francesca Burrascano — works on the threshold between abstraction and figuration, often dominated by black and an ambiguity of meaning.

As the curator explains, the exhibition does not aim to resolve meanings but to preserve hesitation as a productive experience: the landscape becomes memory, echo and vibration, inviting visitors to linger where the visible grows uncertain.
