Laura Mircea — Between Drifts and Movements

From 18 April to 31 May 2026 Bonioni Arte in Reggio Emilia presents "Between Drifts and Movements", a solo exhibition by Laura Mircea (b. 1979). The show features around twenty wall works and several sculptures in which the artist creates conceptual maps that probe invisible connections between peoples, the traces left by human activity on nature, and the Earth's transformations.

Mircea's practice occupies a borderland between painting and sculpture: surfaces become bodies and matter is used as a narrative device. She works with natural and mineral materials — quartz, topaz, hematite, volcanic powders, oxides and verdigris — building a layered visual language that investigates new balances between humanity and the environment.

A critical essay accompanies the exhibition, highlighting how the artist's maps blur and liquefy geographic boundaries to suggest an emotional, imaginative voyage.
