The Ride of Life: charity cycle around the Euganean Hills (Monselice)

The Ride of Life

The Ride of Life is the Padua stage of the Giro d'Italia of Pediatric Palliative Care: a charitable, family-friendly cycling event along the Euganean Hills Ring. The initiative supports the new Veneto Pediatric Hospice and promotes inclusion and quality of life for children with complex conditions and their families.

Who it's for

Open to everyone: families, children, recreational cyclists, schools and groups. Routes are available for different ability levels, so even a short, easy ride is suitable for families with children.

Available routes

• Full loop: 63 km (complete Euganean Hills Ring)
• Stage 1: Battaglia - Monselice, approx. 9 km
• Stage 2: Monselice - Este, approx. 10 km
• Stage 3: Este - Vo' Vecchio, approx. 13 km
• Stage 4: Vo' Vecchio - Treponti, approx. 14 km
• Stage 5: Treponti - Battaglia Terme, approx. 16 km

Program and departure points

• Start at 10:00 from five locations; key points include Padua (station), Battaglia Terme (Parco Pietro d'Abano), Monselice (Piazzale Vittoria), Este (Piazza Maggiore), Treponti di Teolo (Piazza del Mercato).
• Information stand with children's activities at Parco Pietro d'Abano in Battaglia Terme from 10:00 to 16:00.
• Regional trains with bike spaces are recommended to reach departure points; check schedules and available bike places.

Registration and fees

A minimum donation of €5 is suggested to support pediatric palliative care projects. The donation includes, while stocks last, a Bike Pack.
