Kid Pass Days 2026: family weekend across museums, monuments and historic palaces

When: 9-10 May 2026

Where: more than 100 museums, cultural institutions and monumental sites across Italy.

Kid Pass Days returns for its 12th edition with a programme aimed at families: two days of educational entertainment for children aged 0–12. The initiative offers hands-on and immersive activities designed to introduce young visitors to Italy's historical and artistic heritage.

What to expect

  • Creative workshops to explore art, crafts and educational reuse;
  • Science activities in museums focused on science and natural history;
  • Guided experiential tours and history trails designed as adventures for kids;
  • Tactile and sensory experiences to engage the five senses;
  • Specific activities in monuments, historic palaces and archaeological sites, as well as in civic and science museums.

Venues and activity types

Offers include events in historic residences and royal palaces with themed games, pop-up creative labs in art and archaeology museums, outdoor educational walks in monumental areas and interactive programmes at children's museums. Availability and formats vary by venue.

Practical information

  • Recommended audience: families with children aged 0–12;
  • Participation: many activities require booking or have different schedules depending on the venue;
  • Tips: check the programme and access rules on the chosen venue's official channels, arrive early and bring any items needed for young children.

For the full schedule and a list of participating venues, consult the official channels of the cultural institutions involved or contact the museums and monuments directly.
