Kid Pass Days 2026: family weekend across monuments, museums and historic palaces

When: 9-10 May 2026

Kid Pass Days offers hands-on and engaging activities to introduce children to Italy's historical and artistic heritage. The event takes place in more than 100 museums, cultural institutions, historic palaces and monumental sites nationwide.

What to expect

  • Creative workshops focused on art, crafts and educational reuse;
  • Science activities in museums dedicated to natural and scientific topics;
  • Experiential guided tours and history trails designed as small adventures for kids;
  • Tactile and sensory experiences to stimulate the five senses;
  • Specific programs inside monuments, historic residences, archaeological sites and necropolises, plus family-friendly offerings at civic and science museums.

Practical information

Recommended audience: families with children aged 0–12. Many activities require reservation or have different schedules depending on the venue: check the chosen institution's program in advance. Arrive early and bring any materials requested for workshops.

Since offerings vary by site, confirm availability, pricing and access procedures directly with the participating museums and monuments.
