The Herculaneum Archaeological Park offers two family-oriented guided walks designed to bring children closer to mythology and archaeology through accessible storytelling and direct contact with artifacts. The route highlights areas of the site that echo the legend of Hercules.
The itinerary begins at the Sede degli Augustali, where frescoes depict Hercules alongside deities such as Juno and Minerva. It continues along the main axis to the Casa del Rilievo di Telefo, home to a notable marble relief connected to Hercules' son, and ends at the Antiquarium, featuring a bronze fountain with the Lernaean Hydra, a clear reference to the hero's second labor.
The offer aims to make archaeology accessible to young audiences by combining scholarly content with engaging narratives, encouraging hands-on observation and stimulating curiosity about the ancient city.
