The Hidden Castle in the Village: guided tour in Raggiolo

With spring's arrival the Social Center in Raggiolo reopens: the infopoint in Piazza San Michele resumes activity to welcome visitors to one of Italy's most picturesque villages.

The space, promoted by the Municipality of Ortignano Raggiolo and managed by the Oros association, will be open during the Easter period — a chance to explore the village and join a guided walk focused on its past.

Practical information

  • Infopoint opening dates: Saturday April 4 – Monday April 6
  • Hours: 9:30–12:30 and 15:00–18:00
  • Location: Piazza San Michele, Raggiolo
  • Guided tour: "The Hidden Castle in the Village" — Monday April 6 at 11:00
  • Organisers: Municipality of Ortignano Raggiolo; managed by Oros

What to expect

The guided tour leads through the historic center to highlight the remnants of the old settlement and the events that shaped the village. It is suitable for visitors interested in local history, traditional architecture and an authentic cultural experience in the territory.

Visitor tips

  • Arrive a few minutes early to register at the infopoint.
  • Wear comfortable shoes: the route crosses historical streets and cobblestones.
  • Contact the infopoint for updates on times or weather-related changes.

Raggiolo’s compact streets and squares make it an ideal stop to combine the guided tour with a broader exploration of Tuscan villages and to uncover local stories preserved in the stones of the historic center.
