International House-Museum Days: special openings in Tuscany

On 18 and 19 April 2026 the International House-Museum Days bring together house-museums, artist studios and historic homes to open their doors for the public. Participating locations in Tuscany will offer guided tours, special visits and dedicated programming to highlight places connected to notable figures from the arts, literature, science and history.

Public bookings are recommended and available until 15 April on the initiative's official website. Many visits are free but some venues require advance reservation or operate with limited numbers.

• Casa del Pontormo – Empoli: the birthplace of Jacopo Carucci (Pontormo), with historical interiors and documents related to the artist; special openings on 18–19 April.
• Leonardo's Birthplace – Anchiano (Vinci): the rural house that evokes the early life of Leonardo da Vinci, with interpretive visits by reservation.
• Fondazione Montanelli Bassi – Fucecchio: cultural foundation with exhibitions and archives open for special visits and talks.
• Castello Sonnino – Montespertoli: historic castle offering guided tours focused on local history and the site's collections.
• Puccini Museum – Lucca: the composer's birthplace with displays on his life and music, plus family-friendly activities.
