On 18 and 19 April 2026 the International House-Museum Days bring together house-museums, artist studios and historic homes to open their doors for the public. Participating locations in Tuscany will offer guided tours, special visits and dedicated programming to highlight places connected to notable figures from the arts, literature, science and history.
Public bookings are recommended and available until 15 April on the initiative's official website. Many visits are free but some venues require advance reservation or operate with limited numbers.
Dates: 18–19 April 2026. Some venues may arrange additional events on adjacent dates.
Booking: reserve visits by 15 April via the event's official website. Check each museum's page for updated times, whether visits are free or paid, and any participation limits.
Accessibility and travel: historic house-museums often occupy small or ancient buildings; visitors with mobility needs should contact venues in advance for accessibility details.
The initiative is organized by a national network of house-museums in collaboration with cultural bodies and local partners to promote heritage, memory and cultural exchange. For full listings, timetables and booking links consult the event portal and the websites of participating museums.
