National Historic Houses Day in Friuli Venezia Giulia — 24 May 2026

The 16th edition of the National Historic Houses Day takes place on Sunday 24 May 2026. In Friuli Venezia Giulia twelve historic residences — villas, palaces and fortified houses — will open their doors for free visits focused on local history, art and cultural landscapes.

Event focus

The theme for this edition is “Guardians of the future. A living heritage for shared value”, emphasising collective responsibility in preserving and enhancing historic properties so they remain accessible and beneficial to communities and future generations.

Houses open in the region

Twelve properties in Friuli Venezia Giulia will be accessible free of charge, across the provinces of Udine, Pordenone and Gorizia:

• Province of Udine: Villa Pace (Campolongo Tapogliano), Villa Florio Maseri (Pavia di Udine), Palazzo Pavona Asquini (Udine), Palazzo Orgnani (Udine), Palazzo de Gleria (Comeglians), Casaforte di Bergum (Remanzacco), La Brunelde Casaforte (Fagagna).
• Province of Pordenone: Villa Della Donna Stoinoff (Valvasone), Maglio Zuccato (Fiume Veneto), Palazzo Scolari Salice (Fiume Veneto).
• Province of Gorizia: Villa Marchese de’ Fabris (San Canzian d’Isonzo), Villa del Torre (Romans d’Isonzo).
