From 25 April to 13 September 2026 the Museo Eremitani in Padua stages an extensive retrospective dedicated to Giancarlo Zen (1930–2020). The exhibition examines the interplay between light and image through paintings, works on paper and materials from the artist's estate, complemented by loans from public and private collections.
The display is organised both chronologically and thematically to highlight Zen's evolving painterly experiments and his investigations into how light shapes visual perception.
The selection includes items from Zen’s bequest alongside loans that position his work within the Italian and European artistic context. The exhibition layout highlights the luminous qualities of the works and supports both chronological and thematic readings.
Practical tips: check the official Musei Civici di Padova website or contact the Museo Eremitani ticket office for up-to-date opening times, guided visits and ticketing information. Booking or verifying details ahead of your visit is recommended.
