The immersive installation GEA 2076, created by artist Alessandro Calizza for Greenpeace Italy, arrives in Bari. The project offers a multimedia journey depicting possible consequences of the climate crisis and the effects of inaction.
The installation functions as a time machine projecting visitors fifty years ahead, using immersive techniques to present dystopian scenarios linked to climate change. The exhibition is organized into three thematic sections addressing the causes of the crisis, responsibilities of major economic and institutional actors, and feasible solutions for mitigation and prevention.
Alongside the exhibition, Greenpeace Italy shares updated data on the cost and impacts of the climate crisis in Puglia, highlighting extreme weather and hydrogeological events recorded over the past decade and the investments needed for prevention.
The setup is designed to be interactive and accessible, aiming to engage visitors emotionally and informatively. After stops in Rome and Padua, the Bari event features additional talks and in-depth sessions with experts, institutional representatives and local associations.
Visitor tips: arrive ahead of peak hours, allow time for the full experience and join scheduled talks to learn more about the evidence and proposed actions.
