Training Made in Italy: skills, territories and the future of Italian ceramics

To mark the National Day of Made in Italy, ISIA Faenza will host the conference “Formare il made in Italy. Competenze, territori e futuro della ceramica italiana,” organized by AiCC – Italian Association of Ceramics Cities. The event aims to bring together education providers, industry and institutions to map out professional training pathways in the ceramics sector.

Date & time: April 21, 2026, 9:30–13:00. Venue: ISIA Faenza.

• Review of current training programmes and ongoing changes.
• Integration of artisanal tradition with experimental and digital technologies.
• Presentation of case studies and best practices from the network of 60 Ceramics Cities.
• Discussion on emerging skills demanded by the market and opportunities for students and teachers.

The conference will gather industry professionals, representatives of the Ceramics Cities network, artisans, educators and students, aiming to foster practical dialogue to support the sector’s development and align training with production and innovation needs.
