Flowers in the Village — Guardia Perticara, 16 May 2026

A full day dedicated to flowers and the revitalization of the historic centre: balconies, alleys and squares in Guardia Perticara (Basilicata) will be decorated with floral arrangements, creating a path of beauty and community involvement.

Event schedule

• 10:30 Opening with "Flowers in the Square": creative workshops for children by Tempa Verde Cooperative and flag-wavers in Piazza Vittorio Veneto.
• 12:00 Artists' parade through the historic centre.
• 13:00 Food area run by the Pro Loco, featuring local dishes and products.
• 15:00–17:00 Guided tours to discover the village's architecture and hidden corners.
• 17:00 Street theatre and stilt walkers by Myky&RoArtEvents.
• 18:30 Cultural talk "From Dante to the present day" by Matteo Fratarcangeli.
• 19:45 Circus show at Piazzetta Corso Garibaldi.
• 20:30 Food area reopens.
• 21:30 Closing concert by Futura Band in Piazza Vittorio Veneto.

Photo contest "Flowered Corners"

The participatory highlight is a photography contest inviting residents and visitors to decorate balconies, alleys and scenic corners. Photos must be submitted by 13 May 2026 via the Pro Loco's social channels or the phone number provided. Online voting will determine the top three entries; an additional special prize will be awarded by the Pro Loco.
