Felonica: Second World War Museum reopens on April 23

Reopening date: April 23, 2026

Following a period of closure for structural strengthening, the Second World War Museum of the Po River in Felonica reopens its galleries. Works focused on Palazzo Cavriani to improve seismic safety, including reinforcement of load-bearing elements and the installation of a seismic joint.

The current reinstallation updates the exhibition route and adds new material to the holdings, notably a donation of German uniforms from a private collector. Museum management also plans an expansion to provide a permanent display area for historic vehicles that are now shown only on special occasions.

  • Reason for closure: seismic upgrade of Palazzo Cavriani
  • Project cost: approximately €973,500, funded with regional/national resources
  • Exhibition updates: reinstallation and new collection of German uniforms
  • Future plans: additional space to permanently exhibit around 100 historic vehicles

The reopening strengthens the Museum's national role in preserving and interpreting the history of the Second World War, offering visitors an updated presentation and improved access to its collections.

Check the Museum's official channels or contact the administration for current opening hours and visiting provisions.
