Family Art Day 2026 at Valvisciolo Abbey

Dates: 27–29 March 2026 | Location: Valvisciolo Abbey, Sermoneta (LT), Italy

Family Art Day returns for 2026 under the title "Between Art and Wonder," promoted by Artisti in Rete APS. The event focuses on co-creation: art as a shared process that brings together different practices, perspectives and disciplines.

Program overview

  • Friday 27 March, 18:00: opening of the three-day event with an inaugural speech by director Massimo Ferrari.
  • Saturday 28 March: the main day features simultaneous workshops, live links with Artisti in Rete groups across Italy, and the opening of the "Between Art and Wonder" exhibition in the Chapter House Cloister.
  • Saturday 28, 18:00: exhibition opening to the public; later the music workshop presents a concert.
  • Sunday 29 March: closing day with visits to Valvisciolo Abbey and the Archaeological Park of Ancient Norba, connecting creative activity with local heritage.

What to see and how to join

The group exhibition set up during the weekend will remain on view until 6 April 2026, allowing visitors to explore the works produced during the workshops. Saturday evening (28 March) is the best opportunity for the public to see the outcomes of the collaborative sessions.

Participation in hands-on activities may require prior registration: for details and sign-up procedures contact the organizers (Artisti in Rete APS) or check the association’s official channels.

Why attend

Family Art Day is designed for anyone seeking an engaged artistic experience: emerging artists, families and professionals will find opportunities for exchange, experimentation and collective creation. The event’s collaborative approach promotes interdisciplinary dialogue and highlights the cultural context hosting the initiative.
