EXPOSED Torino Photo Festival 2026: Undressing

From 9 April to 2 June 2026, Turin hosts the third edition of EXPOSED Torino Photo Festival. Under the theme Undressing, the event explores identity, the body and memory through photography and related practices.

Organised by CAMERA – Centro Italiano per la Fotografia and curated by Walter Guadagnini, the festival presents 18 exhibitions across museums, independent venues and outdoor sites, complemented by talks, screenings, guided walks and awards for contemporary photography.

  • CAMERA: Toni Thorimbert in the Project Room with Donne in vista;
  • Crypt of San Michele Arcangelo: Yorgos Lanthimos, Photographs;
  • Museum of Natural Sciences: Bernard Plossu, Dopo l’estate;
  • Circolo del Design: Dean Chalkley, Back in Ibiza;
  • National Museum of the Risorgimento: Viva le donne! The feminism in Paola Agosti’s photography;
  • Gallerie d’Italia – Turin: Diana Markosian, Replaced;
  • State Archives of Turin: exhibitions tracing the history of the photographic nude and key 20th-century authors;
  • Distributed collective Metamorphosis in non-profit spaces and public projects such as Torino 4×4, Paolo Ventura’s Acrobati 2020–2025, and FUORICAMPO. Cinema revealed at the National Museum of Cinema.

Side events and programme highlights

The festival programme features talks, portfolio reviews, awards (including the Garesio Wine Prize for Documentary Photography) and the city-wide screening night ESTERNO NOTTE on 10 April 2026 from 21:00 to 24:00. Guided walks along the festival’s photography mile and the Work in Progress section for emerging artists are also scheduled.

Accessibility and pass

Many indoor and outdoor exhibitions are free with the EXPOSED PASS, valid from 9 April to 2 June 2026. The digital QR-code pass is issued upon registration on the festival website or turismotorino.org and includes discounts for ticketed shows. Audioguides in Italian and English, family-oriented routes and an LIS introduction by the Turin Institute for the Deaf are available at participating venues.
