Autore: Redazione 14/04/2026 17:52

Digitalisation of the built environment for the enhancement of cultural and social heritage

On 15 April 2026, from 11:00 to 13:00, a debate on the digitalisation of buildings and the protection of Italian cultural heritage will take place in Rome (CNEL headquarters, viale David Lubin 2, Sala Marco Biagi) and online. The event is organised by CNEL, the Agenzia del Demanio and the Italian Centre for Digital Innovation in Construction (CIDIC).

Aim: to start a dialogue among institutions, research and professional communities about the opportunities and challenges brought by digital technologies and artificial intelligence in the management of the built environment and the valorisation of territories.

  • Opening remarks: Renato Brunetta (CNEL President) and Alessandra Dal Verme (Director General, Agenzia del Demanio).
  • Institutional and technical contributions: speakers from CIDIC, CINECA and the Autorità di Bacino dell'Appennino Centrale, among others.
  • Round table: university rectors and research representatives discussing impacts on education, professional skills and territorial regeneration.

The discussion will highlight opportunities for the development of territories that, despite infrastructural and demographic challenges, hold significant environmental and cultural assets. Participation is possible via registration for in-person attendance and through the CNEL YouTube channel for the live stream.
