"Diffusioni Olfattive" at Palazzo Carignano: three days devoted to the culture of perfume

From 24 to 26 April 2026 the historic rooms of Palazzo Carignano, home to the National Museum of the Risorgimento, will host Diffusioni Olfattive, an event focused on the history, craft and innovation of perfumery. Conceived by Roberto Drago and Daniela Caon (KAON), the initiative combines expert talks with an exhibition path that highlights perfume as a cultural asset.

Main program elements:

  • Talks featuring industry figures: topics range from the historical role of fragrance to contemporary issues such as the use of artificial intelligence in scent creation and the future of professional perfumers.
  • Exhibition path open daily: historic artifacts, vintage bottles and archival documents tracing the evolution of fragrances.
  • Artistic interactions: musical performances and multisensory dialogues that connect smell with taste and sound.
  • Institutional collaborations: partnerships with international organizations such as the Osmothèque in Versailles and sponsorship from sector bodies.

Practical information:

  • Where: National Museum of the Risorgimento — Aula della Camera Italiana, Via Accademia delle Scienze 5, Turin.
  • When: 24–26 April 2026, 10:00–18:00.
  • Admission: free of charge.
  • Website: diffusioniolfattive.it for detailed schedule, speakers and updates.

Visitor tips: allow at least one hour for the exhibition path and check whether pre-booking is required for high-demand talks. The event suits both industry professionals and the general public interested in exploring perfume as a historical, scientific and artistic discipline.
