From 17 April to 12 July 2026, Musa Art Gallery in Turin presents David Bowie, My Brother, an exhibition offering a fresh perspective on the artist by foregrounding personal and cultural connections rather than a standard chronological survey.
The show centers on Terry Burns, Bowie’s half-brother, using their relationship as an interpretative lens to examine literary, musical and visual influences that shaped Bowie’s work. Rather than focusing only on private biography, the exhibition highlights how this bond contributed to Bowie’s public identity and creative choices.
The display groups photographs, texts and archival documents into thematic sections. Sequences of images — including portraits and photographer studies — converse with written pieces that create a parallel narrative, inviting layered readings of Bowie’s artistic universe.
On site visitors can find the exhibition catalogue and a biographical novel that expand on the show’s topics and offer additional interpretative keys for those wishing to delve deeper into Bowie’s production.
The exhibition speaks to long-time fans and newcomers alike, offering a setting where visitors can follow personal interpretative routes prompted by the interplay of images and texts.
