Y.O.U. – Your Own Universe: Numero Cromatico's immersive installation at Milan Design Week

Y.O.U. Your Own Universe is a participatory installation by the artistic collective Numero Cromatico that combines artistic practice, artificial intelligence algorithms and immersive technologies. Visitors are invited to become co‑authors as gestures and interactions shape visual and sound outputs in real time.

The project investigates the notion of being project as a collective experience: individual actions become shared language and the exhibition space is reconfigured as a communal field of relations between people, machines and the environment.

  • Dates: April 20–26 (Milan Design Week).
  • Location: Palazzo Moscova, Brera Design District.
  • Creators: Numero Cromatico with technological partners.
  • Features: an immersive, participatory installation that integrates AI to produce tailored visual and sonic experiences.
  • What to expect: sensory environments that respond to movement and visitor input; the circle becomes a spatial element that encourages connection between audience and artwork.
  • Access: check the Milan Design Week program or on‑site information for entry procedures and any registration requirements.

For those interested in contemporary art and design, the installation is an example of using AI as a relational tool rather than merely a technique: it questions the boundary between maker and viewer and offers perspectives on the role of machines in creative processes.

If you plan to visit, note that peak times during the Fuorisalone can be busy: mornings and late afternoons are often the best windows for a quieter, more intimate experience. Interaction instructions are provided on site by dedicated staff.
