Contemporary Bodies: Between Image and Imagination

As part of Milano Art Week, Corals Gallery hosts a two-artist exhibition curated by Greta Zuccali. The show investigates how the body is perceived, fragmented and reimagined between physical presence and mediated experience through the practices of Hyun Cho and Manuel Castillo.

What to expect

The exhibition stages a conversation between a raw, archetypal visual language and a practice reflecting the virtualisation of relationships. Castillo presents spontaneous marks, mythic figures and primitive forms evoking a shared human imagery; Cho blends sculpture and text with urban iconography to examine intimacy in online life.

Practical information

  • Venue: Corals Gallery, Via Evangelista Torricelli 21, Milan
  • Dates: from 08/04/2026 to 30/04/2026
  • Opening hours: 18:30 - 21:00
  • Admission: free
  • Curator: Greta Zuccali
  • Artists: Hyun Cho, Manuel Castillo

Who should go

This exhibition is recommended for those interested in contemporary debates around bodily representation, urban culture and intercultural exchange in contemporary art—students, professionals and the general public included.

Visiting tips

  • Arrive a few minutes before opening to fully engage with the works on display.
  • The gallery is accessible by public transport; check local timetables for the best route to Via Evangelista Torricelli.
  • Pay attention to the interplay between Castillo’s primal gestures and Cho’s sculptural-textual interventions to appreciate the exhibition’s conceptual tension.

The project invites reflection on the body as a shared cultural territory where identities are negotiated and reimagined, aligning with Milan Art Week’s focus on intercultural dialogue.
