copio. Fashion is a Lifestyle — The Weight of Fashion

For Milano Design Week 2026, artist copio debuts the installation Fashion is a Lifestyle. The weight of fashion at the SKA Store in Brera. The work stages a visual and ironic critique of contemporary fashion by converting the quintessential accessory — the handbag — into heavy, immobile objects: a series of three bags made from brick.

Through a direct and provocative visual language, the installation prompts questions about the real consequences of what we wear: not measured in grams but in environmental, social and production impacts. Aligned with the Fuorisalone 2026 theme, "Essere Progetto" (Being a Project), the piece encourages reflection on individual responsibility and the role of design and choice in broader systems that involve people, nature and technology.

This exhibition is a concise, accessible example of how contemporary art can challenge consumer habits and stimulate awareness through material paradox.
