About 40 km from Turin in the Canavese area, Aglie Castle is a historic residence featuring some 300 rooms, an extensive park protected by UNESCO and collections ranging from Roman finds to Asian artifacts. It offers a layered narrative of court life and architectural change across centuries.

Guided tour: May 8 appointment

On Friday, May 8, at 4:30 PM, a guided tour will be led by Elisa Lanza, the archaeologist responsible for the castle’s collections. The visit is part of the series "Behind the Scenes: daily work caring for the Castle", focusing on how ancient objects contribute to the residence’s identity.

Participation: the tour is included with the admission ticket; booking is mandatory.

• Hall of Honour with 17th-century frescoes celebrating local historic figures;
• Ballroom in neoclassical style with mirrors and delicate stuccoes;
• Historic wooden theatre, reachable via a concealed staircase;
• "Tuscolana" Room containing Roman artifacts from excavations commissioned by Queen Maria Cristina;
• Eastern section with samurai armor and objects collected during diplomatic travels;
• The 320,000 m² park with Italian and English-style gardens, a lake and the striking Fountain of the Rivers.
