“Canti di Passione” – 10th stop in Carpignano Salentino and Serrano

On Monday 30 March 2026 the festival dedicated to devotional folk songs for the Easter period continues with two evening events in Carpignano Salentino and its hamlet, Serrano. The programme combines live performances with guided visits to the village's historic sites.

Schedule

• 18:00 – Crypt of Santa Cristina, Carpignano Salentino: "Kantalìsomo - Le voci della Passione" presented by the popular orchestra La Notte della Taranta.
• 19:30 – Church of San Giorgio Martire, Serrano: performance by Compagnia Arakne Mediterranea with Antonio Castrignanò and Luigi Marra, featuring Giorgio Distante, Rocco Nigro and Giuseppe Spedicato.

Route and guided visits

The Borghi della Passione route winds through historic palaces, civic towers and the mother church, highlighting the connection between community identity and traditional song. Key sites on this stop include:

• Crypt of Santa Cristina
• Palazzo Lubelli
• Mother church of San Giorgio

Guided tours are led by the cultural association In Punta di Tacco APS and conducted in Italian by guides certified by the Puglia Region.
