Memorial Walk in Parco dei Colli

When: Saturday, April 25, 2026 — afternoon meeting; scheduled time 15:00–17:00. Where: the woods of Parco dei Colli (between Ponteranica, Petosino and Valbrembo).

The association organizes a walk to keep the memory of the Resistance alive, linking local landscape, history and community. The route recalls the attack on Villa Masnada (September 26, 1944), the subsequent escape into the woods and the Petosino massacre.

Practical information

• Participation: free and open to all.
• Route types: several walking options and one bicycle route.
• Finish: Partisan Monument in the woods — arrival expected at 17:00.

• Piazza Municipio, Curno — departure at 15:00 (on foot)
• Piazza Costituzione, Mozzo — departure at 15:15 (on foot)
• Memorial noticeboard for the Petosino massacre, next to Villa d’Almè town hall — departure at 16:00 (on foot)
• BoPo, Ponteranica — departure at 16:00 (on foot)
• Monumento al Partigiano, Piazza Matteotti, Bergamo — meet at 14:30 for the bike ride with La Popolare Ciclistica (cycling route)

On-site programme

At the Partisan Monument historian Stefano Morosini will present the local partisan history. This will be followed by musical reflections by the Ensemble Locatelli and a communal snack provided by the local A.N.P.I.

Rain plan: the event will be held at 17:00 at the Parco dei Colli headquarters (former Valmarina monastery) if the weather forces a move indoors.

Organised by Sotto Alt(r)a Quota with the support of the involved municipalities and in collaboration with A.N.P.I., La Popolare Ciclistica, Ensemble Locatelli and BoPo. Inclusive by nature.

Practical tip: wear trekking shoes or comfortable footwear, bring a waterproof jacket if the forecast is uncertain and carry water. The event is suitable for those who wish to walk together and explore local history.
