UNESCO Tourism Trade Fair in Olbia: essential information for operators

The Sardinia Region is organising an International Tourism Trade Fair dedicated to the island's UNESCO sites, to be held from 17 to 19 June 2026 at the Museo Civico di Olbia. The event aims to promote the cultural heritage of Sardinia and to design marketable cultural tourism products.

The programme includes conferences, presentations and B2B sessions between operators, designed to connect international buyers with local sellers specialised in UNESCO-related offers.

  • Event dates: 17-19 June 2026
  • Venue: Museo Civico di Olbia
  • Format: conferences, presentations, B2B meetings
  • Expected participants: around 40 buyers and more than 100 sellers
  • Final day: educational tours to archaeological sites

Educational tours are planned to visit major archaeological sites on the island, including:

  • Domus de Janas
  • Nuraghi
  • Tombs of the Giants
  • Sacred wells

In recent years Sardinia has increased the number of UNESCO-recognised sites, creating a critical mass that allows for the development of structured tourism products attractive to international cultural tourism operators.

How to apply

Tourism operators interested in participating as sellers must submit an application through the SIPES platform. The deadline to apply is 27 April 2026. Selected operators will take part in B2B activities and educational sessions.

Practical tips for applicants:

  • Prepare clear commercial sheets and promotional materials in English for international buyers.
  • Specify UNESCO-related offers, combined packages and additional services (transfers, guides, themed visits).
  • Check the eligibility criteria in the regional call and upload all required documentation on the SIPES platform.

For cultural and tourism businesses, the Trade Fair is an opportunity to build commercial relationships, develop thematic itineraries based on UNESCO sites and increase the international visibility of Sardinian territories.
