Borghi Maestri: "Where light tells stories" – Photographic workshop in Soriano nel Cimino (April 11, 2026)

Confartigianato Imprese Viterbo launches the Borghi Maestri project to promote local heritage, craftsmanship and experiential tourism. The opening event will take place in Soriano nel Cimino on April 11, 2026, with a photographic workshop led by photographer and instructor Luca Storri.

Backed by the Chambers of Commerce of Rieti-Viterbo and Rome, and organized with the Municipality of Soriano nel Cimino, Studio Iandiorio and Tuscia Film Fest, the project aims to enhance the village through culture, cinema, craft, art and digital tools.

Project goals

• Experiential tourism: allow visitors to experience the territory authentically;
• Cinema and storytelling: promote the area using its cinematic heritage;
• Craftsmanship: highlight local workshops and master artisans;
• Art and exhibitions: organize high-quality cultural events;
• Technology: increase visibility and commercial opportunities beyond national borders.

Day programme (April 11, 2026)

Meeting point and departure: Palazzo Chigi Albani, 8:00 AM. The activity is itinerant and will run until the afternoon; comfortable clothing is recommended.

• Planned stops: Palazzo Chigi Albani, Castello Orsini, historic centre (Rocca), main square, cathedral, Sant'Agostino, Bastia, San Giorgio church;
• 11:00 AM – Leatherworking demonstration by artisan Davide Saltalamacchia (Camì company) at Palazzo Chigi Albani;
• 1:00 PM – Tasting of local specialties offered by local artisans, also at Palazzo Chigi Albani;
• Photos taken during the workshop will be displayed in an exhibition scheduled for October 2026 and included in the 2026 Chestnut Festival calendar.
