BioBlitz 2026 at Parco del Serio: a weekend of walks and biodiversity monitoring

Parco regionale del Serio takes part in the tenth edition of BioBlitz Lombardia with a programme of outdoor activities for families, schools and nature lovers. Events run across the Bergamo and Crema areas from 15 to 17 May 2026 and aim to record and promote local biodiversity.

• Friday 15 May - 21:00: night walk focused on bats at Azienda Agricola Madè in Cologno al Serio (via Prati di Mazzano). Meeting point in the PLIS dei Fontanili e dei Boschi.
• Saturday 16 May - morning: guided educational trails organised for Istituto Comprensivo “Primo Levi” of Sergnano: "Capralba, la terra dei fontanili" (Fontanile Fontanone, Sentiero dei livelli, Parco Boschina) in collaboration with the FAI Crema delegation.
• Saturday 16 May - 14:00: circular walk with the Gruppi di Cammino in Romano di Lombardia. Meeting in Piazza Alda Merini; route between the river and the "Giuseppe Longhi" Botanical Garden to observe local flora and fauna.
• Sunday 17 May - morning: meeting at the Malpaga Basella Nature Reserve (Cava delle Capannelle), meeting point at the quarry entrance.
• Sunday 17 May - 10:00: botanical walk in Crema to discover wild herbs, their uses and history. Meeting in via dei Carmelitani, in front of the Basilica of Santa Maria della Croce. Booking and info: Daniela Severgnini, phone +39 333 1175916, email [email protected].
• Sunday 17 May - all day: Spring Festival at the "Giuseppe Longhi" Botanical Garden in Romano di Lombardia with workshops, inclusive activities and projects developed with students from Liceo Don Milani.
