Confapi Sicilia is a key participant in the National Made in Italy Day 2026 with the “Aziende Vive” project, a programme of factory visits that will bring students, entrepreneurs and stakeholders inside island production sites to illustrate processes, skills and innovation.
Included in the national calendar presented on March 16, the initiative emphasizes the link between local identity and manufacturing excellence, highlighting training as essential to preserving the quality of Made in Italy products.
Eight company openings are planned across Sicily for the event, five organised by Confapi Sicilia — more than 60% of the island’s industrial initiatives for GNMI 2026. Visits will be limited in size and include meetings with company management to foster exchange between business, education and territory.
«We thank the Ministry for including Aziende Vive in the national programme,» said Dhebora Mirabelli, president of Confapi Sicilia, stressing the project’s role in promoting productive and cultural heritage. Tiziana Serretta, president of Confapi Sicilia’s Tourism and Culture division, noted that opening factories helps develop industrial tourism linked to local production sites.
