From 11 to 19 April 2026, the Ex Conservatorio di Sant'Anna in Lecce hosts a solo exhibition by painter Athos Faccincani. The show highlights light as an expressive tool: paintings that combine intense color and tactile surfaces portray Mediterranean views, seascapes and landscapes suspended between reality and imagination.
The historic venue amplifies the dialogue between artworks and architecture, offering visitors an immersive route where color functions as both language and emotional memory.
Born in Peschiera del Garda on 29 January 1951, Athos Faccincani began his career in the 1970s. After early works noted for expressive intensity, his practice shifted in the 1980s toward nature as a central theme, developing a distinctive language of color and material. He has exhibited internationally and received various national and international honors.
Check official organizer channels for any updates or related events. Admission to the exhibition is free.
