This solo show gathers recent and largely unpublished works by Andrea Chiesi that revolve around the idea of kairos—the decisive moment of insight. The pieces invite a meditative approach to contemporary landscape, where memory, nature and architecture intersect.
The core of the exhibition consists of ink drawings on Rosaspina paper, from the Naturae vincit cycle, which examine the return of nature to abandoned human environments. The display also includes large-scale oil paintings on linen, creating a dialogue between different phases of the artist's practice.
The exhibition addresses recurring concerns in Chiesi's work: time as inner experience, the transformation of places, industrial archaeology and nature reclaiming built environments. The works present quiet, enigmatic visions that prompt reflection on contemporary landscape issues.
Andrea Chiesi (Modena, 1966) has developed a long-term investigation into time, memory and contemporary landscape. Moving from oil painting to recent ink on paper works, his practice highlights the dialogue between built forms and natural processes. He has exhibited nationally and internationally and collaborates with art academies and cultural institutions.
