Through Villages and Castles: the CAEM/Lodovico Scarfiotti Rally Visits Esanatoglia
On Sunday, 24 May 2026 the "Through Villages and Castles" event returns, a cultural-tourist format by CAEM/Lodovico Scarfiotti now in its third edition. The rally combines vintage car enthusiasm with the discovery of small historic towns in the Marche region, highlighting local architecture and traditions.
Participants will gather at the club headquarters in Montecassiano for welcome operations and a staff-provided breakfast, then follow a convoy through the inland towns of the Macerata area to Esanatoglia, listed among Italy's most beautiful villages.
Key programme
- 08:30 - 09:30: reception and preliminary checks at the CAEM headquarters in Montecassiano (breakfast provided).
- 09:30: departure towards San Severino Marche and Matelica, then arrival in Esanatoglia.
- 11:00: guided tour of the village led by the Mayor and the President of the Pro Loco.
- Around 12:30: transfer to the hamlet of Palazzo to visit Malcavalca Castle.
- Lunch: at Ristorante Vanilà, offering traditional cuisine and a social inclusion project with young people with mild disabilities.
Esanatoglia, with fewer than 2,000 inhabitants, preserves a medieval walled historic centre including the Pieve dei Santi Anatolia e Marco, the Town Hall, the Palazzo del Pretorio and the Church of Santa Maria — highlights for visitors interested in history and architecture.
More than a motorsport gathering, the event fosters cooperation between car clubs and local communities, promoting small towns as living, sustainable tourist destinations. Local partners support the organisation of the rally.
