All About Apple Museum marks Apple's 50th anniversary in Savona

From 1 April 2026, the All About Apple Museum in Savona will host a year of events to mark fifty years since Apple’s founding. The program combines historical collections, technical demonstrations and public discussions to examine how computing has reshaped society.

Renowned for the breadth of its Apple collection and its educational activities, the museum collaborates with the City of Savona and the provincial museum network to offer initiatives for residents, visitors, schools and technology enthusiasts.

Launch day highlights — 1 April

• 11:30 — Press conference at the All About Apple Museum (Piazza De André): unveiling of the annual program with institutional and museum speakers, followed by a symbolic cake-cutting inspired by local April Fools’ traditions.
• 14:30–17:00 — Free Open Day: guided tours of the collection and live demonstrations of fully operational vintage computers, suitable for families and enthusiasts.
• 17:30–19:00 — Talk "A triple jump through computing history" at the Sala Rossa: the first of a three-part series on the historian's craft and the digital transformation.

Speakers and roles

• Alessio Ferraro — President of All About Apple ODV: collector and museum director with extensive experience in the Apple community.
• Giovanni A. Cignoni — Computing historian and university lecturer, specialist in the history of computing and technology.
• Mauro Cuomo — IT expert and executive coach with international experience; former roles at Olivetti and Apple, focused on agile transformation and innovation.
• Nicoletta Negro — City of Savona Councillor for Culture (institutional address)
